O Teatro Municipal de São Paulo é um cartão Postal da capital paulista. Além disso, o Teatro é uma das maiores casas de ópera do país. Em 12 de setembro de 1911, o Teatro Municipal foi inaugurado, com apresentação do célebre barítono italiano Titta Ruffo, interpretando Hamlet, do francês Ambroise Thomas.
